One of the most popular sleep positions is the freefall, which basically implies you lying on your stomach with the hands on/under the pillow. People that choose this position when they sleep will have much better digestion during the night, so this does help if you ate late during the night.




Another position that most of us use during the night is certainly the fetus. This basically involves us lying curled up on a certain side. The Yearner


The yearner is a very interesting sleep position because it involves lying on the side with the arms placed somewhere in front. This is yet another sleep position with health benefits, since it’s great for combating common problems such as sleep apnea or acid reflux, among many others. Of course, if you do encounter such conditions while you sleep, it’s important to talk with your doctor as he will be able to help.


The Soldier


The soldier involves lying on your back with your arms to your sides. The interesting thing about this position is that while it shows strength, it also leads to snoring problems, as well as breathing difficulties. It’s one of those sleep positions that should be avoided.


The Starfish


Lastly, we have the starfish. In this position, you lie on your back with both arms up. While it might not be very popular, those that sleep in such a way are susceptible to the same problems listed above when we mentioned the soldier. Snoring, as well as breathing problems are commonly encountered here as well.
